Review–
The IQ of the people of India has taken a serious drop and that includes IITians, the army and most of the prominent decision makers of the country, the people are going gaga over Sasural Simran Da and the nationalist feelings reaches peaks when the army watches Bollywood border movies before the war.
The Pakistan army has captured Srinagar and the people of India have no idea about it while the army men are busy pouting for selfies to Whatsapp it to their mysterious girlfriends .
Five Counter Strike victors notice the fish when they top the exams, scoring more than the usual toppers. They decide to solve the mystery of everyone going dumb and try to unfold a conspiracy against the entire nation, thus landing themselves in shit deeper than the Pacific.
Will they be able to come out of it?
Will the army get back to their senses and retrieve the country from falling into the hands of Pakistan?
How did the conspirators manage to carry out their plan on such a large scale, affecting the masses?
But then, it all happened in a galaxy far far away from Earth.
The Bogus Read does justice to it’s name and is indeed a bogus read. A reader just cannot afford to miss the wonderful job that the author has done.
Writing humour that makes people actually roll in laughter is a tough job and the author has definitely excelled.
The plot was a well executed one and the book was well written, making it easy for Grammar Nazis to rest in peace.
The book has a mind blowing cover which happens to be in well sync with the plot and series of laughs start from the cover itself.
The characters have been cleverly named adding to the humour.
The author introduces a truckload of characters in the book which are confusing but the famous catchy names are easy to catch up with, even if you forget.
The book is a take on the stupid Indian daily soaps that serve as a home wrecker and give rise to idiotic expectations from people who start thinking of hearing violins on falling in love.

The blurb of the book is too revealing and if read before reading the book, it gives out spoilers.
The book uses a lot of Hindi sentences which might cause inconvenience to those who do not know the language. The Hindi speakers will enjoy those.
The book offers two phases to the reader, one boring phase and the other laugh till you drop phase. If you survive through the boring phase, you are good to go.
The readers need to be following at least some titbits of current politics in order to enjoy the story to the fullest.
I couldn’t understand the last few pages where one army chased another but I did have my share of laughs.
DISCLAIMER – Do not read this book in any class. The book is so humorous that it got me a stomachache because of laughing, even before I could complete the first 50 pages of the book. I also got scolded for laughing loudly like a maniac in a crowded bus.
