Review–
DNA Dad’s Not Adopted is a crime thriller by Shikha Khanduja Kaul. Her debut book being a romance , the brilliance DNA could deliver was unexpected.
The book revolves around the murder case of Nisa Yuen , a Thai citizen who reached India in order to be recognized by her father Rishab Shenoy , one of the top industrialists in India and acquire his name.
Rishab’s ex-girlfriend , journalist Ghazal Vohra and CBI officer Pranab Singhania leave no stone unturned in order to find the culprit but every fact they come across pulls them into a web of untold truths of the Shenoy family, with the identity of the killer still out of reach.
Will they be able to find the culprit before the innocent is punished? Or is the supposed “innocent” the real culprit? Will love come before duty and evidence? Will families fall apart? Will they ever know how Nisa was Rishab’s daughter?
The book answers these question and it’s a treat for the readers.
The ‘ringing bells‘ will definitely bring a smile on the faces of the ladies out there. The book has some hindi shayaris in it and I will be sharing a personal favourite, it’s, ‘ Aaj ittefaq ki inteha ho gai. Hum ladkhada kar gire bhi to unki bahon mein‘.
The book depicts the use of good language and efficient presentation.
A book you won’t regret on buying.
Ratings- 4 out of 5 stars.
There are a bit of errors in editing and rectifying them would make the book flawless.
The culprit could have been made more sinister but that isn’t much of a point to ponder on.
The book is one hell of a read and I bet you won’t be able to guess the end at any cost.
